I currently work nights at UPS. Been there six years, and will probably be there for some time more. So, I don't get many free nights on the town, but the schedule is pretty constant. I go in the same time every night, but leave whenever the group gets done. It's actually intensive and exciting. Plus, early morning shopping rocks. Grocery stores are always empty of customers.

I live with a roommate and two cats. I'm not really a cat person, I'm more of a dog person, but I don't hate them. I'm terribly allergic to them, but the medication i have now seems to be working well enough (if I remember to take it). I have a seven year old black lab, that lives with my parents. I really didn't want to bring him into the small apartment with two cats, and my parents spoiled him anyway. But he's still my boy, and I miss him every now and then.

I am kind of a nerd. I do play video games now and then, and used to play D&D and Magic The Gathering when I was in my teens. But, I don't spend all my time talking, eating or sleeping it. I still like to throwdown the occasional Munchkin or Catan game. To finish it off, I have a Warhammer Fantasy army that I began to paint a year ago...

I'm camera evasive. I'm not the type of person who'll put their hand up when you want to take a picture. But, if I see a camera, I'll tend to not hang around. I do suck it up during family events, holidays and the such, but I just hate getting my picture taken overall.

My car radio is generally on 88.1, which is an awesome station. Every two or three hours, the station shifts genres. It's great, because they also play stuff that's usually not heard on commercial radio. But, some hours are kinda meh and I switch to 103.3. I grew up on the oldies station, and I get depressed anytime I hear Love Shack.

My idea of fun is being outside at a Cardinals game, going on float trips, hanging out with my friends, catching a good movie and the occasional visit to the fox theater. I also like to travel when the job and time permit. I've been to Europe, spent about 2 weeks in Hawaii (Oahu) and my latest trip to Boston to see my favorite comedian; Dane Cook. I am a American Solider I joined the army over a month ago and I leave July 7th and go to fort benning Georgia for at least two months then i may get to come back for a couple day or how ever long they let me and then i go to where ever im going to be stationed. I'm 31, 5'7" and out of college. I grew up in Omaha, NE until i was 23. I finally graduated with a BA from UNO in creative writing in 2007. I have an older brother and younger sister who live in L.A. and Brooklyn respectively. My father died in '07, but i still have a mother and step-dad who both live in St. Louis.
I lived for four years in Durango, CO where i set up a record store while working at a lodge. The business dissolved, and, as a result, i ended up with a lot of recorded music. I also DJed at a local college radio station. That was a lot of fun and i'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Since i've lived in Denver, i've worked as a valet, completed school, worked at a record store (one of the best ones in the nation), and self-published 3 zines. The first two concerned me, my life, my sexuality, and some stuff that... doesn't really have a point. The last zine concerned the death of my father. I made around 30 copies and gave them away. Very few replied to me via my email. It's hard to put so much of yourself into something and get so little back.

Most recently, i've written a piece about a friend i had who kind of lost his mind. I was confused and in pain--the same as him--at the time. An online rag told me they liked it, that it really touched their hearts and they'd like more stuff if i have it. It was supposed to get published in January, but they decided to do a 'best of' compilation instead--a retrospective of the five or so years they've been publishing.

I'm trying to fill up the spaces here. As you can tell, writing is pretty important to me. If i had a choice--the choice being to perfect one's self or perfect one's art, i would choose art and i would not choose to perfect it then. I would choose something else.

I have now gone about five days without a smoke. I might change that i'm a smoker, but i'm kind of famous for relapsing so to speak.

So... onto the next thing.

I like to think of myself as a laid back, easy going person. I have a great career yet I know there is still room for growth. I know that life is short and I am trying to make the most of it.

It took me at least a week to come up with a screen name. I mean there are a million options and each one of them will give you a snapshot into someoneâ??s interpretation of who they are and why they have come here, right? I thought about referencing some song â?? â??gropeforlunaâ?? or â??devilbunnyâ?? â?? but they both emphasize the sex and naughtiness too much. As do â??hedonismbot,â?? or any number of Heinlein references. Then I thought about philosophical and mythological options: â??Zarathustra,â?? â??Dionysus,â?? â??pomohomoâ??â?¦but they all seem to just focus on facets of my personality and donâ??t properly express who I am. Thatâ??s not saying that JAlfredPrufrack is perfect but it does get some of it.

I am an introspective, honest, authentic, and ethical man. I try to live the best life I can. I try to be nice and open and honest with everyone I meet. I abhor dishonesty...mainly because I can't live with the smallest of lies (I feel like "The Tale-Tell heart"). I think that life might be easier than most people make it out to be, if we can just be honest with ourselves (and those with whom we interact) about our desires. I think challenges are fun. One of the biggest things people should know about me is that I'm a major adrenaline junkie. If it goes high or fast or both I am going to have a blast. I love going out and hiking just to find the highest point in an area and just look out over how amazing the world looks from that highest point. I get bored easily with roller coasters. I want to go to Cedar Point one day. They have a few rides that look like they may actually get my heart pumping. I can't wait to go skydiving one day. As much as I like to get out and do things I have to admit that I'm a kid at heart and still enjoy a good video game from time to time. Some people turn to movies, TV or a book for entertainment but I like to have some interaction.

My goal is to end up moving to a place near the mountains (Colorado, Wyoming or Montana), and have a nice home with a couple of horses and provide a good stable life for my family. My overall goal is to be able to retire near 50 and be able to focus on my family more than a career. There would be nothing better than to go out skiing for a day and then come home and ride a horse out to the lake to watch the sunset in the evening on a Saturday night.

I just finished up with school and am back in St. Louis. I am getting back into the fun world of being professional however I have a pretty awesome job working with/for my friends. Its nice since I don't really have to be too uptight about anything in any part of my life.

I'm an adventurer. Well at least I'm trying to be. This world has too much to offer to waist even a moment, so I am constantly on a quest to try new activities, see new places, meet new people and experience life.
